Pooper Scooper Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to sign a contract?
Not at all. Your service can be started or stopped with just
a phone call (218) 750-9900, or by using our contact
form to notify us of any change.
Can
my dog be left in the yard during service?
Yes. However,
there are some cases when a dog will not let us in to your yard. If you
know that your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent
that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we ask that you
restrain or confine the dog. We do not want to take unnecessary risks with
your dog or ourselves.
Do I have to be home for the service?
No, although for the first service it is best to meet with you and
your pet(s) so we can all get acquainted. This is also a good time to see
if your pet will mind us coming into their yard.
Can I schedule my service for a particular
day?
We will make very effort to accomodate an acceptable day for you and your
pet.
How am I billed?
Payment due on same day of service. We accept cash or checks only at this
time.
Returned checks are subject to a $20 service charge.
How do you prevent spreading any diseases?
We disinfect our equipment and shoes after cleaning every
yard.
What is done with the poop?
We double bag the waste and place it either in a
trash receptacle or just outside your garage, as you specify. I
normally lock my gate, is this a problem?
You can leave your gate unlocked for our visit or give us a key or the
combination. We will not climb over or jump fences, so if the gate is
locked when we visit, we'll leave a courtesy note and you will not be
billed the first time. Any time the gate is locked thereafter, we will
leave a note and you will be billed for the visit.
Is there an extra charge for the first time?
With your prior approval, there may be an extra charge for the first service
if there has been a lot of accumulation of waste over time.
What if I don't need service for a few weeks?
Just notify us at least one day ahead and we will put your account on
hold.
Is it possible to get a one-time-only service?
Sure! One-time-only or short-term service may be easily arranged.
What do you mean by "satisfaction guaranteed"?
We know our business depends on doing excellent work, and
it's the quality of our service on which we stake our success. We
promise to do our best to meet your expectations.
We're working very hard to make Civic Doody
mean reliable, high-quality service. We strive to provide perfect service,
but if there is ever a time when our service is not completely satisfactory,
please let us know right away. We will make it right, either by
coming back to re-clean the yard the same day or the next day, or by
refunding partial or full payment.
Please note: We will always make every effort to clean your yard in the
best manner possible. However, Civic Doody cannot completely guarantee
service under the following circumstances: high grass, weeds or ivy, excessive
leaves and wet areas, non-solid / loose feces (diarrhea).
What are your rates?
Our service rates are very affordable! Just check our rate
schedule and you'll agree.
What happens when it rains?
We will usually work in the rain. A very heavy rainfall may stop us, though.
We will most often be able to make up the work later that week.
Do you work through winter?
Yes, but when the "waste" is not visible, we are unable to serve
you, otherwise we will always be there. Keep in mind that your pet will
still create waste, either on the porch, the sidewalk or the driveway.
What about holidays?
We do not work on the major holidays. When a holiday falls on a regular
service day, we will advise you of the alternate day. Service returns
to the regular schedule the following week.
